When you run your own business, every second counts. The sooner you know about last minute cancellations, the sooner you can fill them. The sooner you respond to client messages and reviews, the better relationships you can build. But, staying on top of your schedule and managing clients can be difficult when you’re on your own. That’s why push notifications are a powerful business tool you should take advantage of.
GET PUSH NOTIFICATIONS WITH STYLESEAT
To turn on push notifications: open the StyleSeat app (make sure you’re updated) > More Tab > Notification Settings > My Notifications
If you’ve got a client in the chair, constantly checking for business updates and messages can get distracting. With StyleSeat, you can get instant alerts straight to your phone when there are updates to your schedule, new client messages, new reviews (and more coming soon.)
You can adjust your notification settings any way that works best for your business. Text and email notifications will still be an option, but push notifications are an even more efficient way to stay up-to-date with important changes.
Each push notification is clickable and will take you directly into the app so you can keep your day running smoothly.
For example:
- When a client books, you get a push notification. When you click it, you are taken directly to that new appointment in your schedule.
- If a client leaves a message, you get a push notification that takes you directly to that message so you can respond.
BETTER TIMING = BETTER BUSINESS
- Push notifications allow you to respond to client messages and reviews quickly which boosts your reputation and strengthens your relationships.
- Getting notified as soon as you have changes to your schedule means you can make adjustments ASAP — seamlessly run your business, never fall behind, and ever miss an important opportunity to get booked.

I worked at at Salon lofts but no longer there. Their website is set up for clients that are waiting to be seviced but because stylist are booked they go on what they call waiting list, which means if some one cancels that customer receives an alert to let the know there is an opening. Does Styleseat have that option set up on their webpage.
